Totally agreed–network news is on its way out. Even some so-called “pundits” are getting more and more info from non-traditional sources.
The example that most prominently comes to mind is Sherri Shepherd on the View. When she speaks her mind on current events and “Hot Topics,” she often cites Twitter as a source. This is a trend that seems to horrify Barbara–most likely because the View is one of the top television sources where people are getting news and seeing where pundits weigh in on current events.
